Community Input Needed!

The Sycamore Historical Society and Museum wants to hear from you!  In anticipation of their move out to the Engh Farm, they are planning two community meetings - June 25 and June 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the museum, 308 W. State Street.  “We are the Sycamore Historical Society, and we want to hear from Sycamore as we plan for our new home at the Engh Farm,” explained Michelle Donahoe, executive director of the Sycamore Historical Society and Museum.

The Sycamore Historical Society is looking forward to moving to the Engh Farm located on north on Main Street.  While planning to emphasize the agricultural stories connected to the Sycamore area, they are looking for input on exhibits, programs, and activities.  “It is very important to us that we get input from the community.  We are a community museum.  It would not make sense to create a vision without listening to the ideas, comments and suggestions from the people who live here and take pride in their home town,” Donahoe continued.

Those who are interested can attend either the June 25 or June 26 meeting.  For more information call 815-895-5762 or email sychist@tbc.net.
