A Forgotten Rhode Island Hero of the American Revolution Rediscovered in Sycamore, IL."

This is a beautifully bound 180 page book (2nd edition) written about a Revolutionary War hero who came to be memorialized in Sycamore's beautiful Elmwood Cemetery. At the age of 19, Capt. Page was one of 66 men who captured and burned the British ship HMS Gaspee. From 1772 to 1783 he served in the Rhode Island militia, it's navy, and the Continental Navy. The son of Benjamin Page came to the Sycamore area in 1853 therefore, there is a monument in Sycamore's Elmwood Cemetery commemorating this hero of the American Revolution.
