Sycamore Historical Society Receives Grant

"The Historical Society is very excited about our move to the Engh farm.  However, there is a lot of work to do before we can move in.  The grant money will help us cover those costs.  We have had many people offer to help us with various projects that will need to be completed.  With their help and the $5000 grant we have a good start in making the buildings accessible for the public," explained Michelle Donahoe, executive director of the Sycamore Historical Society & Museum. She continued,  "We are very grateful to the Community Foundation for their support.  Their generosity is truly appreciated."

The Sycamore Historical Society and Museum is currently located at the lower level at 308 W. State Street.  They are hoping to open in their new location next spring.  Anyone interested in donating their time, talents, or money to the Engh Farm project, should contact the Sycamore Historical Society at 815-895-5762.
