Mark your calendars! The Sycamore State Street Theater is generously showing Kit Kittredge an American Girl as a benefit for the Sycamore Historical Society and Museum on September 19 through September 25. In addition, the Historical Society is selling raffle tickets for two American Girl dolls and related accessories.

The there will be two raffles. The first raffle will be for Julie Albright. Only girls twelve and under will be eligible for Julie because she was donated by the American Girl company. The second raffle includes Ruth Smithens, American Girl Outfits, canvas and easel sets, books, a CD, and other American Girl items. Prizes will be give for first second and third place. Tickets for both raffles are available at the Sycamore Theater before each showing of Kit Kittredge for $5 each. |

| “We are very excited about the movie. It is a great fit - a historical movie for the Historical Society. Darryl Hopper from the Sycamore State Street Theater came to us with the idea. Sycamore is lucky to have such a community minded person in town,” explained Michelle Donahoe, Executive Director of the Sycamore Historical Society. |

| Show times are Friday: 4:15, 6:45 and 8:45; Saturday and Sunday 2:15, 4:15, 6:45 and 8:45; and Monday through Thursday 6:45. Raffle tickets will be sold before each show. The winner will be drawn Thursday night. All proceeds from the movie and the raffle go towards the Sycamore Historical Society and Museum. |
